Svetlana Simannovsky

Violin / Israel

Winner of the special prize of the Tchaikovsky Youth Competition, Svetlana Simannovsky holds a degree in Violin Performance from the Roosevelt University in Chicago where she studied under the guidance of violinist Vadim Gluzman. She earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees, both with honors, from the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv (today the Buchman-Mehta School of Music), where she studied with Irina Svetlova.

Ms. Simannovsky is the co-founding member of the Israel Haydn Quartet with whom she performs throughout Israel and abroad.

She is also a faculty member of the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at the Tel Aviv University as well as the Givatayim Conservatory. She serves as a chamber music coach at the David Goldman program for excelling young musicians at the Jerusalem Music Center, and teaches regularly at the Keshet Eilon national violin seminars as well at the International Music Course in Piandelagotti, Italy. Her students have won prestigious scholarships and awards, regularly performing as soloists with orchestras in Israel and abroad, as well as continuing their studies in institutions such as Juilliard School.
