Sarina Weber

Voice / Switzerland

The Swiss mezzo-soprano Sarina Weber received her Bachelorand Master degrees with honours from the Zurich University of the Arts under Prof. Lina Maria Åkerlund. She is currently being supervised by the Austrian soprano Sandra Trattnigg in the #BEProfessional training format and was part of the Opera Studio in Biel. She also received important impulses from Margreet Honig, Ivan Konsulov, Dr. Flavio Ferri-Benedetti as well as Marcin Koziel, Michael Richter, Hans Adolfsen and Christoph Berner. At an early stage the singer developed an enthusiasm for dance and acting, lessons, taking lessons and thus laying the foundation for her love of opera. In April 2020, she was awarded the Friedl Wald Scholarship.

Sarina Weber gave her role debut at the age of 18 as the second lady in W.A. Mozart’s opera “The Magic Flute” (2017 – Arbon, Kulturzentrum Presswerk) and has since embodied roles such as Ramiro in W.A Mozart’s opera “La Finta giardiniera” (2021 – Zurich, Theater der Künste). Sarina Weber disposes of a wide-ranging concert repertoire and is a welcome guest on the Swiss cultural scene. She recently sang the alto solo part in G.B. Pergolesi’s “Stabat mater” (Arbon). In the coming season Sarina will sing the alto solo part in Disentis, Winterthur, Schaffhausen and Stein am Rhein. In addition, she will perform as alto soloist at the premiere of Missa Gala composed by Peter Roth in St. Gallen and Zurich.
