Nicola Fratti
Piano / Italy
Nicola Fratti studied with Giuseppe Fausto Modugno at the “O. Vecchi” Conservatory in Modena, where he earned both his I and II Level Academic Diplomas in piano with the highest marks and honors. He furthered his studies with Andrea Lucchesini at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole and attended masterclasses with Boris Petrushansky, Klaus Kaufmann, Lucy Revers, Antonio Ballista, Luca Ciammarughi, and Maria Perrotta. Additionally, he attended a language high school and later obtained a degree in Languages and European Cultures from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, graduating with full marks.
Since 2009, Fratti has regularly performed solo recitals in numerous Italian cities (including Naples, Rome, Bologna, Bergamo, Modena, Adria, Carpi, Gardone Riviera), participating in events organized by various concert associations such as the Gioventù Musicale d’Italia and the Amici della Musica of Modena.
Fratti is also active in chamber music and has played with various ensembles in Italy and abroad, collaborating with renowned opera singers such as Mario Malagnini, Katja Lytting, Francesco Ellero D’Artegna, Wilma Vernocchi, and trumpeters Francesco Tamiati, Otto Sauter, Andrea Tofanelli, and José Chafer. Recently, he performed in a duo with soprano Gabriella Costa at the International Music Festival in Savona.
Fratti has been the piano accompanist for various masterclasses, including those of Leone Magiera, clarinetists J.F. Ballester and S. Mourikis, conductors John Farrer and Fabrizio Ventura, opera singers Mario Malagnini and Katja Lytting in Gardone Riviera, and performed in the Final concert of the students at the Vittoriale degli Italiani auditorium. He has been a répétiteur at the Teatro Comunale di Modena and for the “L. Pavarotti” Foundation for Rossini’s Stabat Mater with the foundation’s solo singers conducted by Ezio Bosso. For the “C. e G. Andreoli” Music School Foundation. He currently works as a piano accompanist at the “O. Vecchi” Conservatory in Modena and at the “A. Peri” Conservatory in Reggio Emilia.
In addition to his concert activities, he also embarked on a teaching career and is currently a piano teacher at the “O. Vecchi” Conservatory.
