Dmitri Tsirin

Cello / Russia, Spain, Israel

Dmitri Tsirin was a prize-winner at important international cello competitions Scheveningen in Netherlands 1991, Rostropovich in Paris 1995, Leonard Rose in Washington 1997, Tchaikovsky in Moscow 1998. He studied under Professor N. Shahkovskaya at Moscow State Conservatory and Professor N. Gutman at Stuttgart School of Music and Fine Arts. He was taught by D. Shafran and M. Rostropovich. By recommendation of Mstislav Rostropovich he received a J.B. Guadanini cello from the Russian State Collection.

As a soloist he performed with the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Berlin Radio Orchestra, Belarussian Philharmonic Orchestra, Palau de les Arts and others. Mr. Tsirin has participated at prestigious chamber music festivals performing with Michail Lidsky, Boris Berezovsky, Marianna Shirinian, Georgi Dimcevski, Ernst Kovacic, Gordan Nikolich, Christian Altenburger and Andrei Pushkarev.

Mr. Tsirin assisted Natalia Gutman at the State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart and also at some international masterclasses, Riva de Garda, Enghien, Sion. Mr. Tsirin was a jury member at a number of international competitions for young musicians. In addition he gave several masterclasses in Russia, Israel, Denmark, Spain and Italy.
