Tigran Harutyunyan

Violin / Germany

Tigran Harutyunyan was born in 1988 in Yerevan( Armenia) into a family of musicians. At the age of six he received his first violin lessons. He studied at the P.I. Tchaikovsky School of Music for highly talented musicians under Professor Armen Harutyunyan and later under Professor Artashes Mkrtchyan.

Between 2010 and 2014 he was a student of Professor Josef Rissin at the University of Music in Karlsruhe (Germany). He won the third prize at the “Aram Khachaturian International Competition”, the first prize at the “Kammerton International Competition”  as well as awards at several state competitions in Armenia. During his studies Tigran performed in Armenia, Iran, Georgia, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, France and Austria.

In 2008 he played as a soloist with the “Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra” (conductor V. Hakobyan). Since 2014 Tigran Harutyunyan has been a member of the “Uhde Trio” with whom he performs frequently in Germany and Austria.

He attended master courses under Philippe Koch, Karen Aroutiounian, Nana Jaschwili and Albrecht Breuninger.

In 2012 Tigran began teaching at the Raab Music School in Flehingen (Germany). Since 2015 he has been a teacher at the Gutmann Music  School in Mühlacker (Germany). His students were awarded several prizes at national and international music competitions such as “Jugend musiziert“ (Germany), „Flame“ ( France), „Komitas“ ( Armenia) and “Leonid Kogan International Competition” (Belgium).
