Anna Hauner

Piano / Switzerland

Anna Hauner was born in Aichach, Germany. She studied piano with Benedikt Koehlen and vocal coaching and song interpretation with Donald Sulzen at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. She began her conducting studies under the guidance of choral director Hans-Joachim Willrich at the Gärtnerplatz Theatre in Munich and continued her orchestral conducting studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Professor Bruno Weil.

She attended masterclasses with Bernard Ringeissen and Paul Badura-Skoda. As a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association, Anna Hauner made her conducting debut with the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt. This was followed by concert engagements with the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic and the Munich Symphony Orchestra.

As a coach and musical assistant, she worked at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding, where she also received a teaching appointment as a répétiteur in 2010. In October 2009, she joined the Bavarian State Opera as a répétiteur and was regularly invited to conduct concert performances of operas at the Munich Philharmonic.

Since 2015, Anna Hauner has been a solo répétiteur at Zurich Opera House, where she has conducted several performances of the production “Konrad oder das Kind aus der Konservenbüchse.” She was also engaged as a language coach for a Mozart recording with Juan Diego Flórez and worked as a musical assistant at the Arena Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata. A central focus of her artistic work is accompanying singers. Anna Hauner has given numerous song recitals and concerts in Munich, Zurich, London, Düsseldorf, and Dublin.
