Jaleh Nili Perego

Violin / Germany / France

Jaleh Perego was born in Rennes, France, in 1983 and spent a large part of her life in Vienna. She received her first violin lesson at the age of three and acquired much stage experience as a child. Abraham Quivoij, Nikolai Tzygankov, Robert Papavrami, Miguel Candela and Igor Volochine were among her teachers. In 2001, she became a student of Prof. Florian Zwiauer at the Vienna Conservatory. After two years, she was admitted into the masterclass of Prof Michael Frischenschlager at the Vienna University of Music. Simultaneously she attended Prof Ivàn Eröd’s composition class and graduated with honours in 2004. She moved to Germany in 2006 to continue her studies with Prof Nachum Erlich at the Karlsruhe University of Music.

In 2014 she passed her soloist exam summa cum laude. Her busy concert schedule has taken her through Europe, Switzerland, Russia, Israel, the USA, Brazil, England and New Zealand. The core of her repertoire encompasses the classics of violin literature as well as her own arrangements. In addition to being a passionate performer of chamber music, she also places great emphasis on musical education. In recent years, she has taught violin at the Karlsruhe University of Music, where she has also led seminars in musicology. At present Jaleh Perego is working on her PhD thesis on the composer and architect Richard Fuchs.
