Veronika Czettner

Violin / Hungary

Veronika Czettner was born in Budapest, Hungary. In 1976 she graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, as a student of the famous violinist, Dénes Kovács. From 1976 to 1977 Veronika was a member of the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra. 1978 till 1987 she was a first violinist in the Hungarian National Philharmonics. In 1982 Mrs. Czettner was honored with the Bartók-Pásztory Award. After leaving the Philharmonics she started to work for the Concerto Budapest Orchestra as the concertmaster until 1991. Mrs. Czettner was the founder and first violin player of the world famous Budapest Festival Orchestra. Since 1988 she is teaching at the Béla Bartók Music School. She is the representative of the special method of Kató Havas. Veronika Czettner has been using this method focused on teaching young students In the past she organized courses of Kató Havas and published three of her books in Hungary. Since 2000 Veronika has put together Chamber Music courses in Hungary where she worked together with prominent hungarian Artists, such as János Rolla, Mária Frank, György Konrád and many more.
