Shahane Zurabova-Masan

Shahane Zurabova was born in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia, into a family of musicians. She took her audiences by storm through her musical talent, technical brilliance, and vivid interpretations, winning her first national competition at the age of 10. After graduating from the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan in 2008 with first class honours, she continued her education in the class of Professor Adrian Oetiker at the Music Academy in Basel (Switzerland). In 2010 Shahane Zurabova was awarded the Master of Performance degree and a concert diploma. In 2011 Shahane Zurabova won a prize at the Nicati-de-Luze Foundation in Lausanne, and in 2012 she successfully concluded her Master of Arts studies in music pedagogy at the City of Basel Music University.

In 2013 Shahane Zurabova attended the famous Imola Piano Academy under Vovka Ashkenazy and Boris Petrushansky. She took part in master classes under famous musicians such as Piotr Anderszewski, Stephen Kovacevic, Ivan Monighetti , Gérard Wyss and others. In the course of her solo and chamber music career she was able to perform at numerous international festivals and important venues such as „Gesellschaft für Musiktheater“ in Vienna, the „Le Foyer“ in Lisbon, Portugal, the „Cafesijan Arts Centre“ in Yerevan, Armenia, as well as in Warsaw, Poland. Her participation in the Mieczyslaw Weinberg project, in which her work was presented to a broader audience, is also an important stepping stone in her career.
